Appointments take place whenever a client books a time slot. For example, your hair salon may be open for business from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and a client can book a session at any time during the day (unless someone else already booked that time slot).
Appointments are usually booked by individuals, however, they can also be booked by a group of people - but only when they book the service together. An example is when a group of friends book a private chef to cook for a party.
